Mr. Ptak is a member of the BlackRock Infrastructure Investment Group’s investment team responsible for originating and executing North American renewable energy project investments. While with BlackRock, Mr. Ptak has led investment teams that have invested or committed over $450 million of equity capital in 1.1GW of renewables projects and raised over $250 million in project financings. Mr. Ptak is a member of Management Committees for the BlackRock Global Renewable Power I and BlackRock Renewable Income UK funds.
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2012, Mr. Ptak spent eight years at BayernLB, most recently as a First Vice President. While there, he closed $2.3 billion of equipment supply, construction, and term project finance transactions for over 80 North American renewable energy projects. Mr. Ptak began his career at The Transportation Group in 2002, arranging and providing advisory services for leasing and structured finance transactions in the transportation sector. Mr. Ptak earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Civil Engineering from Duke University and is a CFA charterholder.
